"BEYONDTHEVEIL BLOG"

Our Vision & Beliefs

God’s story is a story of love and redemption. The story or message that most clearly shows this redemptive love is the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus (I John 3:16). Paul says this message is of “first importance” (I Corinthians 15:3). As God reveals his nature through the stories of the Bible, the following teachings emerge as the central core doctrines. These teachings form the core of our beliefs here at BEYONDTHEVEIL.

God

There is one true God, eternally existing in three Persons, God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. These are equal and are one God. God created the world out of nothing and by his power he sustains all he has created. (Romans 8:22-25; Ephesians 1:13-14).

Jesus Christ

Jesus was miraculously born of the Virgin Mary (Matthew 1:20; Luke 1:35) and became flesh and blood (John 1:1-16; 29-34) without ceasing to be God. He lived a sinless life and performed many miracles to confirm his divinity. He died on the cross as a perfect sacrifice, paying the debt for our sins (Mark 10:45). On the third day after his death he arose from the dead showing his victory over sin and death (1 Corinthians 15:3-8). He appeared to his disciples and then ascended into heaven and now sits at the right hand of God serving as our mediator.

Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit is equal with the Father and the Son. He makes people aware of their need for Christ (John 16:8-11, 2 Corinthians 6:11). He indwells and empowers the believer (I John 4:13; Galatians. 5:16-26). His presence in our life is a seal and guarantee that we are God’s children (2 Corinthians 1: 21-22). The Holy Spirit gives believers spiritual gifts (talents or an abilities) (1 Corinthians 12:7-11; Romans 12:4-8) to be used to help others.

Bible

The Bible is the inspired word of God and is the final authority in life and doctrine (2 Timothy 3: 16).

Salvation

Salvation is a free gift of God. The death of Christ on the cross is the only sufficient payment for our sins. All have sinned, but all can be saved. This salvation is available for any who put their trust in Christ as Savior (Romans 3:23, 6:23; John 3:16). Those trusting Christ should repent of sin, confess their faith, and be baptized (Romans 10:9; Acts 2:38).

Church

The church is the body of Christ on earth, empowered by the Holy Spirit to continue the task of reaching the lost and  discipling the saved, helping them become fully devoted followers of Christ (Ephesians 4: 1-16).

Christ’s Return

Christ will one day return and judge all people (1Thessalonians 4:13-18). Unbelievers will be separated from God’s presence in Hell and believers will be welcomed in God’s presence in Heaven.
At BEYONDTHEVEIL we sincerely try to follow the Bible and its teachings. However, our ability to logically figure everything out is not the basis for our acceptability before God. Our salvation is based on what God has done for us through Jesus Christ. What we must be right about is the fact that we cannot be right about everything and are therefore completely dependent on God’s graciousness and mercy.

"IN HIS HAND"

John 10:28

Jesus answered, “I told you, but you don’t believe. Everything I have done has been authorized by my Father, actions that speak louder than words. You don’t believe because you’re not my sheep. My sheep recognize my voice. I know them, and they follow me. I give them real and eternal life. They are protected from the Destroyer for good. No one can steal them from out of my hand. The Father who put them under my care is so much greater than the Destroyer and Thief. No one could ever get them away from him. I and the Father are one heart and mind.

Dear precious believer in Christ; Have you ever questioned your eternal security in Christ? Have you come to some conclusion, about the eternal security of others who have truly been transformed into a new creation, experiencing old things becoming new? Yet, have falling away in their walk of faith because of sin.

If we are honest with ourselves, we all have had a season, where we have doubted our own salvation, or the salvation of others.  The landscape is board and wide, as the struggles of the flesh, wage war against the new creation in Christ. Principalities and powers in the heavenly realms, set their course of attack, to kill, steal and destroy the new creation. We find ourselves awakened to a new war. The war of our personal testimony, our love story of redemption, awaken to this indescribable love. Hoping never to grow weary in this romance, between God and our new creation.

I have  mentioned, that there are various reasons one can question  eternal salvation. Yet, I would humbly ask you to take a journey with me into two areas, that believers often find themselves uncomfortable to speak about, or completely misjudge and often bring condemnation upon those who have experienced these two shadows of the valley of death.

The two places I would like to journey into, is the topic of the tragic death of a believer, and the suicide death of a believer. These two powerful forces often leave even the believer breathless, and speechless, and often questioning weather these believers actually went home to be with the Lord . The silence of this dungeon, imprisons the mind, where there appears for a season to be only questions in the dark, with no answers. The paralyzing question that towers above all, is the question...why?

It is this writers conviction,  not based on emotion, or speculation, but as one who has experienced the tragic death of his own son, and have known a few precious blood washed broken vessels, who have given up on this life, and the destroyer won the battle of the mind.  These vessels  beyond doubt,  have been given the gift of eternal life from Jesus Christ Himself.   Embraced into His eternal arms in the comfort of all the saints who have gone on before.  This great Savior boldly proclaims; "no one can steal them out of my hand."  " I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live!" (John 11:35).

Let us now take a surgical look at John 10:28.

Jesus said; Everything I have done has been authorized.

We find in this statement the word authority. Some of you  who are reading this now, may have authority on your job, perhaps in the military or at church. People shape your life and behavior by policies, laws and standards every day. These all governed by a powerful enforcement, where all in its wake must yield and obey .

The centurion soldier understood the authority of Jesus when he said;  “Lord, I do not deserve to have you come under my roof. But just say the word, and my servant will be healed.  For I myself am a man under authority, with soldiers under me. I tell this one, ‘Go,’ and he goes; and that one, ‘Come,’ and he comes. I say to my servant, ‘Do this,’ and he does it.” (Matt 8:8) The centurion recognizing Jesus's authority, also was recognizing the Father, who gave the authorization, to the Son.

"My sheep recognize  my voice."   Do you remember that glorious moment when Christ revealed Himself to you, and you responded to His voice, and His eternal salvation arrested your soul, as you for the first time in life felt cleansed from the bondage of sin. You were given grace, and by His authority in a moment in time, became sons and daughters of the living God!

1 John 1:7 If we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin.

They follow me. I give them eternal life. The Son has the authority to give eternal life as authorized by His Father. Together the Father, and Son join in agreement to authorize the gift of eternal life to all who would believe!

Then Jesus said to his disciples, “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me. For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will find it. (Matt 16:25)

Protected from the destroyer.  John 10:10

The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.

My precious brother, and sister in Christ. It is this writers, soul desire to serve this liberating truth to you. If you have experienced a loss of someone you love deeply , through a tragic event, or suicide, , and are confident that they are a new creation, washed in the blood of the Lamb, but the thief, the killer, and destroyer, has caused you to doubt their eternal salvation. Then I challenge you to let the Holy Spirit this morning, breath life and liberty into your minds and hearts.  I speak to you from inside this battlefield, this dungeon valley we spoke of earlier,  yet like the fourth man in the fire, He came to me. He who I walked with me in green pastures, and by still quiet waters years past, became the  Rose of Sharon, the Lily of this valley. His light dispersed the darkness as I heard Him say; " I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee." (Heb.13.5)"  My banner over you is love."    Song of Solomon 2:4
He brought me to the banqueting house, and his banner over me was love.

I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all; no one can snatch them out of my Father’s hand. I and the Father are one.” John 10:28  "Hallelujah!!!"

 2 Timothy 2:10

Therefore I endure everything for the sake of the elect, that they too may obtain the salvation that is in Christ Jesus, with eternal glory.

Paul's letter to young Timothy speaks of endurance, so that others might obtain the gift of salvation only found in Jesus, with eternal glory! Everything the Father did through His Son, He did to weave eternity intricately into its tapestry. In order for the new creation to know, that nothing could ever separate them from His love.

Hebrews 5:9
Once made perfect, he became the source of eternal salvation for all who obey him.
Jesus became perfect in order for your imperfection, to be made perfect, and He became your only source of eternal salvation, when you said; Yes to Him!

2 Corinthians 12:9  “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.

When we think about salvation, we can never allow our minds to accept, that the free gift, is something earned, it is exactly that; free. You and I had nothing to do with it. He purposed from the dawn of eternity to set his love upon us!  He says; to us. "My Grace; My Power," is made perfect in you. It is the completion of His work of redemption. "Christ in you the hope of glory!"
Colossians 1:27

To them God has chosen to make known among the Gentiles the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory

John 5:24
“Very truly I tell you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be judged but has crossed over from death to life.

"If anyone has ears to hear, let them hear.”(Matt 4:23) What are you hearing? The sounds of the voices of the world, demons of darkness leading to doubt and fear. Leaving you lost in shadows, and under its power of condemnation. The promise is for "whoever," the gift is eternal life, without  judgment, all cross over from death to life. Crossed over; meaning we needed a bridge between our failures, weaknesses and sins. Jesus became that bridge, and no matter what the tragedy in life, you are for ever His, and you cross over into the everlasting arms of the Father, who sent His son.  Embrace it, rest in soul peace in this truth...forever!

2 Corinthians 1:22
Set his seal of ownership on us, and put his Spirit in our hearts as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come.
Wow! Ownership, deposit, guarantee! You are sealed with these promises! When you go to the bank and deposit money, you are covered by that bank with a guarantee, with a seal to protect and secure what you already own. How much more faithful  Our Heavenly Father who placed as a deposit His only son, guaranteeing with the seal of the Holy Spirit. life everlasting, that will never be taken away. Hallelujah!

1 John 5:13
I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life.
"That you may know!" Incredible! No guessing, no wondering, no room for doubt.  You know that you have eternal life. Past tense in the present!

John 17:20
“My prayer is not for them alone." I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message.

Hope for those you are praying will one day come into this beautiful eternal romance in Christ, because of the message your life brings forth to them.

"But thanks be to God, who always leads us as captives in Christ’s triumphal procession and uses us to spread the aroma of the knowledge of him everywhere."(2Cor 2:14)
"For we are to God the pleasing aroma of Christ among those who are being saved and those who are perishing."(2Cor 2:14-15)

Titus 2:11-12
For the grace of God has appeared that offers salvation to all people.  It teaches us to say “No” to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age.

Just say "no."  God's grace saved you in this present age. The age of lovers of pleasure, lovers of the creature, rather then the creator.  Through His amazing grace offers salvation to all people.

Romans 8:38-39

"For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers,  neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord."

Are you convinced, that nothing can separate you from God's love? What more could he do to convince you? This writer is one that is absolutely convinced, with no room for doubt, that neither life nor death, yes,.. even suicide or the tragic death of a believer, will ever be able to separate us from the love that purchased us, in Christ Jesus our Lord!!! Glory be to God... Amen.

"No one can steal them out of my hand!"

"Him that cometh to Me I will in no wise cast out."—John 6:37.
O limit is set to the duration of this promise. It does not merely say, "I will not cast out a sinner at his first coming," but, "I will in no wise cast out." The original reads, "I will not, not cast out," or "I will never, never cast out." The text means, that Christ will not at first reject a believer; and that as He will not do it at first, so He will not to the last.
But suppose the believer sins after coming? "If any man sin we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous." But suppose that believers backslide? "I will heal their backsliding, I will love them freely: for Mine anger is turned away from him." But believers may fall under temptation! "God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it." But the believer may fall into sin as David did! Yes, but He will "Purge them with hyssop, and they shall be clean; He will wash them and they shall be whiter than snow"; "From all their iniquities will I cleanse them."

"Once in Christ, in Christ for ever,
Nothing from His love can sever."

"I give unto My sheep," saith He, "eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of My hand." What sayest thou to this, O trembling feeble mind? Is not this a precious mercy, that coming to Christ, thou dost not come to One who will treat thee well for a little while, and then send thee about thy business, but He will receive thee and make thee His bride, and thou shalt be His for ever? Receive no longer the spirit of bondage again to fear, but the spirit of adoption whereby thou shalt cry, Abba, Father! Oh! the grace of these words: "I will in no wise cast out."

"If anyone has ears to hear, let them hear.”(Matt 4:23). "Him that cometh to Me I will in no wise cast out."(John 6:37.)
